Description (Service) The Ganaraska Hiking Trail Association is a registered charity dedicated to the conservation of our natural resources.
The objectives of the Association are:
  • To establish and maintain a hiking trail for public use from Port Hope to the Bruce Trail near Collingwood.
  • To develop and maintain side trails and loop trails with the objective of accessing places of scenic interest or to connect with other trails.
  • To promote similar trails in nearby areas as may be determined.

Areas Served Chippewas of Rama First Nation ; Christian Island ; Midland ; Orillia ; Oro-Medonte ; Penetanguishene ; Rama ; Ramara ; Severn ; Springwater ; Tay ; Tiny
Boundaries Orillia Club section runs for 71 km from Sadowa area to Sugar Bush area (near Horseshoe Valley Road); the whole trail runs for 500 km from Port Hope to Collingwood.
Eligibility Non-members welcome to join individual hikes. No dogs allowed.
